BRICKWORK REPAIRS

A common problem with brickwork pointing is it is often neglected and allowed to
deteriorate to a point where water lodges in the joints, which over a period of time results in the erosion of the bricks.

Once this decay has started there are a number of ways to treat the problem: -
The first solution is to remove each defective brick and replace it with either a new brick or a good quality reclaimed brick.

The second solution is to repair the brick with our own Insitu repair Technique. This involves the removal of the brick face to a pre-determined depth and restore forward with our own brick repair mortar which is a durable and weather resistant material.
The works are finished by repointing the joints around the area of repair.

As you can see from the pictures below, and the finished project above, a lot of work went into this project, all concerned worked very hard and everyone was pleased with the
finished works.

This project is one of many that Rushview has worked on in partnership with many other companies throughout the country. And many projects where overseen by English Heritage ensuring that standards where very high.
