When buildings require repairs, natural stone is still the best material and would most
certainly have been the choice of the original craftsmen.

The skills required for building or repair in natural stonework are unlike those required in other building disciplines. Rushview have a Masonry Division which are solely involved with these types of repairs.

Most projects have limited budgets so the choice between repairing or replacing eroded sections of stonework usually depend on financial constraints.
Different methods are used to achieve the maximum amount of repairs to the fabric with a minimum cost.

All restoration is carried out by highly skilled craftsmen, who remove all the friable, eroded stonework down to the required depth, important in any satisfactory repair.
Reinforcement, where required, is carried out in conjunction with the cutting out process.
None ferrous dowels are fixed by resin compounds into pre-drilled holes in heavy sections of stonework/overhangs. Stainless steel mesh is then fixed to the resin bonded anchors.
Specialist Rushview mortars are then applied by our craftsmen, making sure that it is firmly pressed into the reinforced cage. Whilst it is setting our craftsmen finish off the repair with wooden floats and profiles to match the surrounding works.
